REFLECTIONS to find out
Those were the days
my friend ... We thought they'd never end ...
|
On a somber note ... take a moment to remember:
(we all have to exit stage right sometime, alas ...)
For those that pay any attention to statistics:
Given that you were born ~1945:
Males alive now have about 10 more years
on average
Females alive now have about 11 more
years on average
At this 60th reunion we have lost ~ 25% of our class (which is much less than
the 40% expected statistically)
By our 70th reunion actuaries expect us to have statistically lost ~ 67% of our class ...
(47% given we are alive now)
By our 80th reunion actuaries expect us to have statistically lost ~ 95% of our class
(5 women and 2 men left) ... (91% given we are alive now)
By our 90th reunion actuaries expect us to have statistically lost ~ 99% of our class
(1.4 women and .4 men left) ... (97% given we are alive now)
By our 100th reunion ... it will be very quiet ... and a low turnout ...
(Numbers are from the "Longevity
Visualizer" of the Social Security Administration )
You and I, of course, will live forever ... the heck with statistics ... we are
beating them already !
BUT ... just in case ... MAKE THE MOST OF THE TIME YOU HAVE LEFT ! ! !
